Who is JEISYS MEDICAL INC. and what is our role?

JEISYS MEDICAL INC. conducts its business in the Republic of Korea. When we mention “JEISYS MEDICAL INC.”, we are referring to the relevant company in the JEISYS MEDICAL INC. group responsible for processing your data.

Each Privacy Notice will set out which JEISYS MEDICAL INC. entity will be the controller and determine for what reasons (i.e. the purposes) your personal data is processed as well as the resources (i.e. the means) allocated to such processing. 1. WHAT: WHAT PERSONAL DATA JEISYS MEDICAL INC. COLLECTS ABOUT YOU

Personal data, or personal information, means any information relating to an individual from which that person can be identified.

We do not knowingly collect or store personal information from anyone under the age of 13 unless or except as permitted by law. ANY PERSON WHO VISITS ANY OF THE WEBSITE REPRESENTS TO US THAT HE OR SHE IS 13 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. If we are made aware that we have received personal data from someone under 13, JEISYS MEDICAL INC.will use reasonable efforts to remove that information from our records.

Data that you communicate to us through various media, registrations, applications, surveys, and direct and indirect interactions with JEISYS MEDICAL INC. to provide you access to online services and platforms, including to administer our websites and keep them safe and secure; and to manage your online accounts.
to allow us to identify or authenticate you, including to provide or verify your credentials including via passwords, password hints, security information and questions, name of workplace, specialty and nationality.

to allow us to communicate with you, including to respond to your requests and inquiries; to provide support for products and services; to provide you with important information, administrative information, required notices, and promotional materials; to send you news and information about our products, services, or brands and operations; and to organize and manage professional events and congresses, including your participation in such events.
to protect our rights and interests, including to protect the health, safety and security of JEISYS MEDICAL INC. personnel and premises; to carry out internal audits, asset management, system and other business controls; to manage business administration; to maintain the security of our services and operations; to protect our rights, privacy, safety and property; to allow us to pursue available remedies and limit the damages that we may incur as necessary; and to protect ourselves against possible fraudulent actions.

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

If you have provided your consent, we may use your personal data to send you information by email about goods and services we feel may be of interest to you, including promotional information about JEISYS MEDICAL INC. products and services.

Depending on the data processing in question, JEISYS MEDICAL INC. will generally process your personal data on one of the following legal grounds:

With your prior consent, where you have clearly expressed your consent to JEISYS MEDICAL INC.’s processing of your personal data. In these cases, we will process your personal data on the basis that it is necessary for our legitimate interests (for provision of administration and IT services and network security, to keep our website updated and relevant, to study how customers use our products/services and to develop our business).
When we process your personal data for other purposes, we will notify you of the specific legal ground we are relying on to process your personal data in the Privacy Notice we provide you.

JEISYS MEDICAL INC. may, on a case-by-case basis, rely on other legal grounds for processing your personal data, such as the protection of your vital interests. If this is the case, we will notify you in a Privacy Notice.

Please note that we may also process your personal data on the basis of more than one legal ground depending on the specific purpose for which we are using your data.

5. WHO: WHO JEISYS MEDICAL INC. SHARES YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH

For the purposes described above, JEISYS MEDICAL INC. may need to share your personal data with the following authorized third-parties:

Jeisys Medical Inc. and its affiliates who undertake leadership reporting, and provide IT and system administration services and other services.
professional advisors including lawyers who provide consultancy, legal and other services.
legal, regulatory, administrative and other authorities, as required by applicable laws including laws outside your country of residence.

JEISYS MEDICAL INC. may need to share your personal data with other third-parties, in which case we will inform you in the applicable Privacy Notice.
Those circumstances include when: (1) reasonably necessary to perform a service or deliver a product or publication or focus an offer specifically to you; (2) authorized by you; (3) permitted under this Privacy Policy; (4) required by statue or regulation; or (5) in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process served on JEISYS MEDICAL INC.; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of JEISYS MEDICAL INC.; (c) protect the personal safety of JEISYS MEDICAL INC. personnel or members of the public in urgent circumstances; or (d) enforce the JEISYS MEDICAL INC.’s Privacy Policy or Terms of Use.

In any case, JEISYS MEDICAL INC. will require that all such third-parties:

only process the personal data for the purposes described in this Policy and in accordance with our instructions; and

6. WHERE: WHERE JEISYS MEDICAL INC. MAY TRANSFER YOUR PERSONAL DATA

[Option #1] Notices for European users: JEISYS MEDICAL INC. may need to transfer (via access, visualization or storage) your personal data to other jurisdictions, including countries outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) which may not be regarded as providing the same level of protection as the jurisdiction you are based in. Where we transfer personal data to a country outside of the EEA which does not provide a similar or adequate level of protection to that provided by countries in the EEA, we will enter into a Model Contract with the recipient and we will make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.

[Option #2] Notices for European users: JEISYS MEDICAL INC. may need to transfer (via access, visualization or storage) your personal data to other jurisdictions, including countries outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) which may not be regarded as providing the same level of protection as the jurisdiction you are based in. Where we transfer personal data to a country outside of the EEA which does not provide a similar or adequate level of protection to that provided by countries in the EEA, you will provide you with specific privacy information and consent forms in a separate Privacy Notice.

7. HOW SECURE: WHAT JEISYS MEDICAL INC. DOES TO PROTECT YOUT PERSONAL DATA

We have implemented a variety of technological and organizational procedures and measures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of your personal data from unauthorized access, use and disclosure. These measures will take into account the state of the art, the costs of implementation and the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing as well as the risks posed by the processing (in terms of likelihood and severity) to your rights and freedoms. For instance, we store your personal data on servers that have various types of technical and physical access controls, which may include, for instance, if appropriate, encryption. We may also aggregate, pseudonymize or anonymize personal data to ensure that no personally identifiable information is communicated to third parties.

In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Accordingly, and despite our efforts, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, or to or from our online products or services. Email messages sent to or from a website may not be secure. Confidential information should not be sent by email. Site visitors sending email accept the risk that a third party may intercept email messages.

8. HOW LONG: JEISYS MEDICAL INC.’S APPROACH TO DETERMINING HOW LONG TO RETAIN YOUR PERSONAL DATA

JEISYS MEDICAL INC. will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, as outlined in this Policy.

As an exception, JEISYS MEDICAL INC. may be required to retain your personal data for longer periods as required or permitted by law, or as necessary to protect its rights and interests. In such a case, you will be informed of the intended retention period in the applicable Privacy Notice.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting and other requirements

Your right of access: you have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification: you have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
Your right to erasure: you have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to restriction of processing: you have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing: you have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances (including direct marketing).
Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organization, or to you, in certain circumstances.
Your right to withdraw – You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time to the data processing. Note, this will not affect the lawfulness of processing up until the time at which you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.

Exercising these rights are free of charge. If you make a request, we will respond within the month (for our contact details, see below), except where requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, for example, because of their repetitive character, we may either (i) charge a reasonable fee taking into account the administrative costs of providing the information or communication or taking the action requested or (ii) refuse to act on the request.
